Lisa graduated from St Lawrence College in Cornwall, ON in the RN diploma program in 1999. She worked in the ER at the Hawkesbury General Hospital for 4 years before moving to Sudbury in 2003. She began a new chapter in the ICU at St. Joesph’s Hospital. In 2012, Lisa needed a change. She had a great passion for teaching. She taught at Laurentian University (LU) in the BScN program for 2 years while pursuing her other passion of being a medical trainer for the Sudbury Nickel Barons and later the Rayside Belfour Canadians Junior A hockey teams. If that was not enough, she decided to return to school part-time and obtain her BScN degree. In January 2015 she left LU and went to teach at Cambrian College in their BScN program. In 2017, Lisa wanted to advance her career. She left teaching, the ICU, and hockey behind to start her new adventure as a nurse practitioner. While going to school she also worked in the ER at HSN during Covid 19. In 2020, Lisa graduated from LU with a MScN and a postgraduate diploma in Primary Care-Nurse Practitioner. Since graduating as an NP, Lisa has worked multiple contracts at two local NPLCs, NELHIN in Palliative Care and Wahnapitae First Nation. Now she is ready for the next step in her career, opening her very own private medical centre where she can help those who do not have primary healthcare providers due to the shortage in Sudbury and surrounding areas.
Jenna graduated from the Cambrian College BScN program in Sudbury, ON in 2018. She began her career working in home and community care where she specialized in wound care, palliative care and pediatrics. After three years, she transitioned to acute care where she worked in the Pediatric/NICU unit at Health Sciences North. On her days off, Jenna picked up shifts at the Public Health Sudbury and Districts vaccination clinics where she provided the flu and covid-19 vaccines to people of all ages. Having obtained a variety of skills in various health care settings, Jenna took on a role as a Community Health Nurse in a First Nation community where she had the opportunity to advance her nursing skills and provide health education to members in the community. In addition to providing nursing services, Jenna obtained her instructor certification in First Aid/CPR and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training to better prepare the staff and community to respond in emergency situations.
Jenna has always had a passion for the health and wellness industry and has taken initiative in increasing her knowledge through various educational opportunities to benefit her clients. Using a client centered approach in her practice, Jenna strives to provide the highest quality of care.

Elite Wellness Medical Centre has a team of experienced medical professionals, including a primary care nurse practitioner, a registered nurse, and registered social worker (to start)
In the province of Ontario, nurse practitioners are unable to bill OHIP for their services like physicians do. As a result, private, independent nurse practitioners have to charge fees for their services. Patients can claim these costs on their 3rd party insurance ie. Canada Life, Sun Life, Manulife.
The nurse practitioner can provide a wide variety of primary and urgent care services, similar to those provided by a family physician, such as preventative care and screening, chronic disease management, IUD and Implant insertion and removal, minor surgical procedures, and substance use disorder management. The RN performs foot care, PAPs, immunizations, cosmetic injections, and wound care. The social worker provides psychotherapy, substance use disorder management programs, and counseling (adult, child, family, couples). An extensive list of services and fees can be found in the services section below.
The nurse practitioner can do the following:

They can have access to the NP, RN, or social worker. Home visit costs are added to visit costs.

Skin biopsies are done with local anesthetic to the area of the lesion and the biopsy is performed with a punch biopsy tool. Depending on the size of the sample taken, sutures may be needed to close the wound. Samples are sent to the lab for analysis. If concerning, will refer to dermatology.
Endometrial biopsies are defined as a sample taken from the uterus. This is performed for menopausal women with abnormal bleeding, in reproductive-aged women with changes in bleeding patterns, pain, and lesions noted on ultrasound. Samples are sent to the lab for analysis and then if concerning, will be referred to gynecology
Lesion removal is lesions that are concerning for cancer or lesions that the patient feels are unsightly and want to be removed. A local anesthetic may be required. Sutures may also be required.
Many patients have skin tags that are visible and this bothers their self-image.
If the skin tag is small, a "cold" spray is used to remove it. If the stem is thicker, a local anesthetic is used to numb the area. Surgical scissors or a scalpel are used to remove flush with the skin.

You may have had this lump on your back for years and now it is bothering you or you may be concerned that it is more serious. Come have it removed. It could be something as simple as a cyst or lipoma (fat tumor) which is benign. A local anesthetic is used to numb the skin and sutures are used to close the wound.
You have cut yourself and you don't want to go to the ER or walk-in clinic? No problem, come to our clinic and we will fix you up. Our services include children too. We use a local anesthetic, but some lacerations especially with children and the scalp. Dermabond (glue) can be used.

$ 225 - Removal and reinsertion of IUD
This is a great option for patients who have had past traumas that make it very difficult to have an IUD inserted. This is another option for a long-acting reversible contraceptive (LARC). Again like with the IUD, the patient will have an assessment and consultation with the NP to discuss the procedure and answer any questions they have. A local anesthetic is needed.
$ 100 - Removal of implant ONLY
$ 150 - Insertion of implant ONLY

It does cause a sedative effect, therefore patients who choose to use the green whistle will need a ride home post-procedure. The effects of this medication usually wears off 20 minutes after the last inhalation. The patient has total control over administration and they can take as little or as much as they need.

Our staff can provide a quiet room to take your blood work to reduce the anxiety of the procedure. We can provide services to both children and adults including patients with intellectual developmental disabilities.
Our time at the clinic is valuable. Please have respect for our staff and other patients to show up for your scheduled appointment or cancel your appointment at least 2 days before to allow staff to book another patient in that slot. Let's work together.
